Karl Eschwin Albert von Holleuffer , also prescribed Aschwin , Edwin or Erwin , (born August 1, 1806 in Storkwitz , † June 16, 1871 in Halle ) was a real secret councilor and minister of state in the Principality of Schwarzburg-Sondershausen . .

Life

family

Albert was a member of the noble family of Holleuffer . His parents were the electoral Saxon captain , collegiate governor and Anhalt court travel marshal Ferdinand von Holleuffer (1764-1810) and Luise Karoline Albertine von Posern from the Haue Diera († 1807). He was married to Adelheid Countess von Hardenberg (1808–1874) for the first time since 1834, but divorced in 1850 . In 1854 he married Bertha von Baerenstein. With her he had the son Hans Dietrich von Holleuffer (1855-1902).

Career

Holleuffer was initially a Prussian administrative lawyer. From 1846 to 1848 he was head of the secret council and chamber president in Schwarzburg-Sondershausen. In the years 1850 to 1851 he was acting district administrator in the Prüm district .

As a member and leader of the conservative opposition in the 3rd Schwarzburg-Sondershausen Landtag , he won the vote against Friedrich Chop's progressive draft constitution in 1852 . After his opponent Chop was retired, Holleuffer, as the leader of the conservative state parliament majority, pushed through his draft constitution at the end of July 1852, which envisaged a conversion of the democratic into a state parliament. He was Real Privy Councilor and Minister of State.
