Peter Maria Rossmann

Peter Maria Roßmann (born October 5, 1888 in Trier ; † July 11, 1957 in Innsbruck ) was a German local mayor and district administrator .

Life and origin

After completing his high school diploma in Trier, he first worked for the Trier government and then for the Rhenish Higher Presidium in Koblenz . Due to conflicts with the Nazi regime because of its “ clerical attitude”, Roßmann was transferred to the Merseburg government during the Second World War . In 1945 he returned to the government in Trier and was mayor of Welschbillig in the same year until 1947 , and from 1947 mayor of Bausendorf . From 1947 to 1948 he was commissioned district administrator for the Prüm district, where he retired in 1948.
