The Holpertalbach is a creek less than 1 km long in the southeastern Palatinate Forest on the parish of the local community Ramberg in the district of Südliche Weinstraße ( Rhineland-Palatinate ), which flows into the Dernbach from the left and northeast in the local area .
geography
course
The Holpertalbach rises in the northeast of the settlement area of the local community in the short, wooded Holpertal under the Modeneck ruins at about 316 m above sea level. NHN . It flows in a south-westerly to westerly direction between the Drenselberg on the right and the Eichbühl on the left, repeatedly touching built-up holiday properties. After about 0.7 km, it flows into the Dernbach from the left next to Waltheristraße (L 506) at a height of about 258 m , which turns from southeast to south.
Catchment area
The stream, which has no tributaries, drains an area of a good 0.5 km² (54.6 ha), which is forested almost everywhere except in the valley floor. It borders in the northwest on the Drenselberg ridge as well as in the south at the level of the Eichbühl on the catchment areas of similar small left tributaries of the Dernbach. Beyond the east-north-eastern watershed, on which the Modeneck ruins sit at around 492 m above sea level, the catchment area of the more important Modenbach , a right tributary of the Speyerbach , borders . The highest point in the catchment area is on the north corner on the summit of the Drenselberg ( 524 m ).
The stream flows entirely on the Ramberger district, on which almost the entire catchment area extends, except for a piece of the upper forest slope near the southeast corner. There, the Ramberger Waldhaus settlement is still on the Ramberger mark in the catchment area, the only settlement next to the loosely built holiday home area in the north of Ramberg through which the stream runs.
