The Chinese Islamic Association ( Chinese  中国 伊斯兰教 协会 , Pinyin Zhōngguó Yīsīlánjiào xiéhuì ; English Islamic Association of China) is a national religious organization in China . It was founded in 1953 after a preparatory meeting a year earlier in the Chinese capital Beijing , where it is still based today. Burhan Shahidi , Da Pusheng , Ma Jian , Liu Geping , Saifuding Aizezi and Pan Shiqian and Zhang Jie called for the founding meeting. It claims to be the representative of all Muslims in China . Its current chairman is Chen Guangyuan , and the vice chairman was Aronhan'aji, among others. Its headquarters is located near the oldest Beijing Mosque , the mosque in the cattle alley .

At the constituent meeting in Beijing on May 11, 1953, there were representatives of ten nationalities of the People's Republic of China ( Hui , Uighurs , Tatars , Kyrgyz , Kazakhs , Uzbeks , Tajiks , Dongxiang , Salar and Bao'an ) present. The following tasks and goals are named: to support the people's government in implementing the policy of religious freedom ; to continue the tradition of Islam ; love for the fatherland; the Muslims to unite in participating of Socialist construction of the country, the world peace to obtain; to develop friendly relations with Muslims from other countries, to secure world peace, etc. The governing body is the national congress.

Yang Faming is the chairman of the association and Jin Rubin is the vice chairman.
