Holte-Lastrup is a district of the municipality of Lähden in the Lower Saxony district of Emsland . The place, which consists of the two villages Holte and Lastrup, is located east of the core area of Lähden.
West lies the 23 ha large nature reserve depth Vehn and south of the 2.9-hectare nature reserve jitter ponds .
The place is on the state road L 55. The B 213 runs south.
The Südradde , a right tributary of the Hase, flows on the eastern edge of the village .
Holte was first mentioned on July 14, 947 as Holuidde (wood, forest) in a deed of gift from King Otto I , later the first German emperor, to the Enger monastery . At that time the place belonged to Agartinga ( Agradingau ).
The municipality of Holte-Lastrup was formed on January 1, 1964 in what was then the district of Meppen through the merger of the two municipalities of Holte and Lastrup . On February 1, 1971, Holte-Lastrup was incorporated into Lähden.
