The Holubí potok , also Dvorský potok (German Golbichbach ) is a left tributary of the Smědá ( Wittig ) in the Czech Republic .

course

The Holubí potok rises northeast of Filipka at the Pass Oldřichovské sedlo ( Hemmrich ) in the Jizera Mountains . After 300 meters, the creek is bridged by the Liberec – Zawidów railway line coming from the Hemmricht tunnel ( Mníšecký tunel ) . On its upper course, first to the northeast and later to the north, the Holubí potok forms a deep valley between the Stržový vrch ( Grubberg , 704 m) and the Srázy ( Scharflehne ). At its exit, the stream is dammed at the Na Hrázi hunters' house in Šolcův rybník. The lower reaches of the Holubí potok leads into the Jizera foothills ; to the west of Vápenný vrch (424 m), the stream flows past the settlement U Dvora ( Meierhofhäuser ) and is crossed again by the Liberec – Zawidów railway line. After five kilometers the Holubí potok flows into the Smědá in Raspenava .

On the left side of the brook, the Hemmrichstrasse runs from Raspenava to Oldřichov v Hájích . The Liberec – Zawidów railway runs between the Mníšecký tunel and Na Hrázi to the right of the stream through its valley.

Šolcův rybník

The Šolcův rybník, also called Zrcadlový rybník , Šolcák , Na hrázi or Rybník pod Poledníkem , is the largest fish pond in the Jizera Mountains with an area of six hectares. It was created as a fish pond for the Raspenau Meierhof. It was likely abandoned after the Thirty Years War. In 1962 forest workers restored the pierced dam and dammed the pond overgrown with alder and birch trees. In the years 1996 to 1997 the owner, the state forest enterprise Lesy České republiky, had the pond rehabilitated with funds from the PRŘS program because the dam was under water. For this purpose, the crayfish population with a population of almost 2,000 specimens and some specimens of the pond mussel were temporarily relocated to the nearby Dvořák pond. As a result of the floods of 1997 that washed over the dam, the resettlement of the crabs was not very successful. A complete reconstruction of the pond took place between 2008 and 2009. The pond serves as fishing water and is also used for swimming.
