history

The upper Görsbach valley was settled in the 14th century. The lumberjack settlement Ulrichsdorf was first mentioned in a document in 1381 in the land register of the Friedland rule . It is believed that the village was named after the owner of the estate, Ulrich von Bieberstein . The first settlers came from Kratzau and Schönborn . In 1564 the population consisted of 20 farmers, two gardeners and eleven cottagers. In the Berní rula from 1654 the place is recorded as Wes Ulesdorf . Later the village was given the name Buschullersdorf to distinguish it from the villages of the same name , which can be traced back to the establishment of the parish in Einsiedel . The Philippsgrund settlement, founded in the 18th century, was named after the owner of the Friedland rulership, Philipp Josef von Gallas . In 1770 230 people lived in the 56 houses in the village.

After the abolition of patrimonial Buschullersdorf formed with the district Philippsgrund from 1850 a political municipality in the judicial district Friedland or district Friedland . The village chapel, built at the end of the 18th century, had to give way to the construction of the new road in 1861. In 1875 the construction of the railway from Reichenberg to Seidenberg was completed. In 1900 there were 261 houses with 1536 residents in Buschullersdorf and Philippsgrund. In 1920 the community was reclassified to the Reichenberg district . At the beginning of 1925, the municipality expanded to include the Betlém settlement, which had 22 houses and which the municipality of Voigtsbach had bought. In 1930 Buschullersdorf had 1508 inhabitants.

After the Munich Agreement , the community was added to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the Reichenberg district until 1945 . In 1939 there were 1,359 people living in Buschullersdorf. After the Second World War, the expulsion of the German population began.

After the dissolution of the Okres Liberec-okolí, the municipality was assigned to the Okres Liberec in 1961. In 1980 it was incorporated into Mníšek and the community has existed again since 1990.
