Pertoltice (German Berzdorf ) is a municipality 6 km north of Frýdlant (Friedland) in the Czech Republic . It belongs to the North Bohemian Okres Liberec and is 275 m above sea level. NN north of the Jizera Mountains on the Silnice 13 between Frýdlant and Zawidów .
history
After the Middle Ages, Berzdorf took an exceptional position among the Friedlander villages, as it was not subordinate to the Friedlander rule, but directly to the crown. However, it is not clear how this position came about. It is clear, however, that Berzdorf belonged to the Görlitz region at the end of the 14th and beginning of the 15th century .
During the Thirty Years War , the farms changed hands many times, which then fell into disrepair. In the years 1662–1665, Count Gallas became the owner of the farms, which were then incorporated into the Friedland rule.
In the 19th century Berzdorf was divided into Oberberzdorf and Niederberzdorf . Neu Berzdorf , founded at the end of the 18th century, fell to Niederberzdorf.
In the 1930s Berzdorf had 11 Czech and 469 German residents; the latter were expelled after the Second World War . At the end of 1949, Ober- and Niederberzdorf were reunited. On May 1, 1980 Pertoltice became part of Habartice, but on January 1, 1991 it was again given an independent administration.
Community structure
Pertoltice consists of the districts Dolní Pertoltice (Niederberzdorf) and Horní Pertoltice (Oberberzdorf) , which also form cadastral districts. The settlement Nové Pertoltice (New Berzdorf) belongs to the district Dolní Pertoltice .
