history
The first written mention of the place on a trade connection between Bohemia and Upper Lusatia took place in 1600. The village was part of the united dominions Aicha and Friedstein . The owners of the estate were the Smiřický von Smiřice ; they were followed in 1622 by Albrecht von Waldstein and in 1634 by Johann Ludwig Hektor von Isolani . His sister donated the inherited property in 1653 to the monastery of the Vienna Augustinian Canons. In 1782 the monastery of the Vienna Augustinian Canons was dissolved by Emperor Joseph II in the course of secularization; at the end of the 18th century, the Rohan family acquired the rule of Bohemian Aicha. The location on the important trade route also led to numerous military marches. During the Napoleonic Wars, the Russian army passed through the town.
After the abolition of patrimonial Žďárek / Scharchen formed from 1850 a district of the municipality Odolenovice in the Turnau district . The railway line was built in 1859. In 1866, shortly before the Battle of Podol , the village saw the passage of Prussian troops. In 1878 the Žďárek community was established. After the German occupation, Scharchen was a border village to the Reichsgau Sudetenland from 1939 to 1945 . Until the expropriation of Prince Kamil Filip Alain Rohan in 1945, the large estates remained with the Rohan, who had their seat at Sychrov Castle . At the beginning of 1961, Žďárek was incorporated into Sychrov and at the same time came to Okres Liberec . The settlement Zlatá Hvězda, which previously belonged to Paceřice , was assigned to Žďárek in 1990. The Ž Gemeindeárek municipality has existed again since 1996. In 1997 the R 35 expressway was completed. Žďárek is the smallest municipality in the Okres Liberec.
