history

Všelibice was founded between the 13th and 14th centuries as part of the colonization of the area by the Markwartinger . The first written mention of Všelibice took place in 1419, when the brothers Ješek, Matěj and Mikeš von Palohlavy sold their income from the village to the Commander of the Order of St. John in Český Dub , Fabian von Dub. After the commandery died out in the Hussite Wars , Všelibice became part of the Všelibice rule. Since the beginning of the 16th century, the Wartenberger owned the rule. For involvement of Adam von Wartenberg at Bohemian Estates Uprising in 1547 his estates were Ferdinand I confiscated. In addition to the lords of Český Dub and Turnov and the Frýdštejn castle , the Všelibice fortress was also part of the confiscated property. This expired and was not mentioned again later. In 1552 Johann von Oppersdorff bought Český Dub and Frýdštejn. Všelibice was sold to Zikmund Smiřický von Smiřice in 1591 together with the Český Dub domain and in 1622 it became the property of Albrecht von Waldstein . After his murder in Eger , the goods were confiscated and handed over to Johann Ludwig Hektor von Isolani in 1635 . His daughter Regina gave the inheritance to the Augustinian monastery of St. Jakobus in Vienna in 1653 . After the abolition of the monastery in the course of the Josephine reforms, Všelibice belonged to the State Religious Fund of Lower Austria, from which it was acquired by the Rohan princes .

After the abolition of patrimonial Všelibice / Schellwitz formed from 1850 with the districts Budíkov, Čihadlo and Roveň a municipality in the political district of Turnov . At the beginning of 1961 the Okres Turnov was dissolved and Všelibice was assigned to the Okres Liberec . At the same time Březová, Malčice and Podjestřábí were annexed to Všelibice. In 1980 Benešovice, Cetenov , Chlístov, Hlavice , Lísky, Nantiškov, Nesvačily, Přibyslavice and Vrtky were incorporated, with Cetenov and Hlavice becoming independent again in 1990.
