history

The Catholic parish church of St. Valentin with a wall is a baroque complex from the late 17th century. In 1811 the tax district Holzhausen was formed in the Teisbach rent office of the Vilsbiburg district court, which, in addition to Holzhausen, includes the places Aiteröd, Asang, Aukam, Floiten, Gallersgrub, Gammelsreut, Gerzenberg, Gerzer, Haselbach, Heinhub, Hermannskirchen, Hohlhof, Irlach, Kaindl, Lampeln, Linden, Loh, Neutenkam, Oberhaarbach, Oberrettenbach, Öd, Ofen, Perlkam, Reinthal, Reut, Schneitberg (Oberschneitberg), Schrannen, Schweibach, Steinberg, Thal, Weiher and Wimm. The district court municipality of Holzhausen emerged from this unchanged in 1818/1821. From 1862 it belonged to the Vilsbiburg district office and from 1939 to the Vilsbiburg district . On May 1, 1978, the municipality of Holzhausen was incorporated into the Geisenhausen market as part of the regional reform , the places Schweibach and Weiher zu Velden. Heinhub has been near Velden since January 1, 1979, and Ofen near Neufraunhofen since February 1, 1979.
