Holzhausen bei Teisendorf is a district of the market town of Teisendorf in Berchtesgadener Land in the district of Upper Bavaria .

history

The Bavarian Urkataster shows Holzhausen in the 1810s with 15 hearths and the church with its then still walled cemetery .

Until 1969 Holzhausen was an independent municipality. It was not until the regional reform in Bavaria in 1969 that Holzhausen became part of the Teisendorf market.

St. Leonard Church

The Catholic branch church St. Leonhard is a late Gothic hall building with a slightly drawn-in polygonal choir . The baroque extension dates from the 17th century.

Regular events

The largest traditional event of the community takes place in Holzhausen every year, the St. Leonhardiritt , which dates from the 16th century. In addition, there is a festival with a beer tent in the first week of Pentecost.
