history
On the right slope of the valley and about 80 m above the source of the Hombach there were a series of boundary stones in 1810. It separated the historical areas of two former states in the Rhine Confederation . On the right-hand side was the territory of the Grand Duchy of Hesse , to which the place Geiselbach in the Alzenau district in the Starkenburg province belonged. On the left side was the Grand Duchy of Frankfurt with the village of Huckelheim in the Aschaffenburg department . Some of these boundary stones are still well preserved today.
