The Homberg with a height of 787 m above sea level. M. is an elevation north of Reinach AG between the Wynental and the Seetal in the Swiss canton of Aargau .
description
There is a restaurant on the small plateau and a lookout tower, the Homberg Tower, on the Hochwacht ( 788 m ) to the south . The view extends to the Hallwilersee and Baldeggersee , to the south into the Alps and to the west into the Jura , which is why the Homberg is also called Aargauer Rigi .
At the Homberg tower there is a measuring pillar that serves as a fixed point for the national survey of the federal state topography .
reachability
The Homberg is easily accessible from Reinach , Beinwil and Birrwil via a car road. Well-marked hiking trails lead up the mountain from all sides for pedestrians. A trip to the Homberg planned from the Seetal can be combined with a boat trip on Lake Hallwil .
The Aargauer Aussichtsweg , which leads from Schöftland to Beinwil, runs over the Homberg .
