Hornsherred is the northern part of a Danish peninsula (Danish halvö ). It is located between the Isefjord and the Roskildefjord in the north of the island of Zealand . Its northern part belongs to the municipality of Frederikssund , the southern part to the municipality of Lejre . The name is derived from the Harde Horns Herred , an old administrative unit that comprised the north of the peninsula. Between the two municipal reforms in 1970 and 2006, the three municipalities Jægerspris , Skibby and Bramsnæs were part of the peninsula.

The peninsula is connected to the Hovedstadsområdet via the Holbækmotorvejen motorway and the Kronprins Frederiks Bro road bridge over the Roskildefjord . In the southwest, the Munkholmbroen shortens the route to Holbæk . At the northern tip there is a ferry connection from Kulhuse to Sølager near Hundested .
