Horst-Joachim Rahn (born February 20, 1944 in Olbernhau ) is a German business economist , university professor and writer . He lives in Grünstadt .

Life and work

His professional career began in 1962 with training as an industrial clerk at the large company Grünzweig & Hartmann in Ludwigshafen am Rhein , which he completed in 1964. He then became head of education and training. Here he gained management experience and practical experience in human resources and training. He planned and coordinated seminars for the company's executives and was responsible for hiring, supporting and training the trainees.

Rahn later studied business administration and education at the University of Mannheim . He is considered a specialist in group-oriented leadership style or system-oriented personnel management or team management . In addition, he represents the 'level-oriented' approach to corporate management , which is linked to strategic, tactical and operational management. In addition, he dealt intensively with the structuring of connection paths between positions within the framework of the operational organizational structure and with the tasks of the organizational department , organizational controlling and group controlling.

For students, he developed special procedures for solving a written exam (examination) and for lecturers he developed suggestions for assessing seminar, bachelor, master and diploma theses, i.e. for scientific work . In addition, he designed human resource management processes and he developed process-oriented human resources . His scientific role models were Konrad Mellerowicz and August Marx . In 2015 he published the title Small Dictionary of My Aphorisms and in 2016 he brought out a comprehensive work on the dialectic of the humanities universe . In the latter book, a little over 300 terms are explained, theses and antitheses on the respective topic are explained, which lead to a synthesis based on personal points of view.

His life's work forms hypotheses about the meaning of life . Here the so-called personal basis of meaning contains the special meaning of life that every person can give himself, e.g. B. living for the family or striving for success at work or in sport. People with “longings” will, however, hold a view according to higher standards, which in a model perspective concern the so-called theoretical superstructure. This consists of a theological part and a philosophical part, e.g. B. Justice, freedom, happiness, which in antiquity was primarily seen as the meaning of life. The link between the personal basis of meaning and the theoretical superstructure is the pursuit of satisfaction, which is expressed in the well-being of people. The permanent pursuit of life satisfaction (which is in constant battle with dissatisfaction) is the general meaning of life and forms the key to happiness.
