Horst Finner
Horst Finner (born August 27, 1932 ) is a former German functionary of the GDR block party DBD . He was chairman of the Neubrandenburg district board of the DBD.
Life
Finner initially worked as an agricultural assistant, later qualified as a state-certified farmer and graduated as a graduate philosopher.
In 1951 he joined the Democratic Peasant Party of Germany (DBD) and has been a full-time DBD functionary ever since. He worked as the district secretary in Neubrandenburg , Teterow and Templin . From September 1959 to March 1960, as head of the working group in the MTS area Boddin in the Teterow district, as part of the collectivization, he carried out “persuasion” among the still independent individual farmers to join the LPG .
From June 1976 to 1990 he was chairman of the Neubrandenburg district board of the DBD. From May 20, 1977 (10th party congress) to 1990, he was a member of the DBD party executive. From October 1976 to 1990 he was also a member and 1989/90 President of the Neubrandenburg District Assembly . As deputy chairman of the DSF District Board in Neubrandenburg, he was elected to the Presidium of the DSF Central Board on May 13, 1983 at the 12th DSF Congress. He held this position until the 13th DSF Congress in May 1988, when he was replaced by DBD functionary Joachim Krebs .
