Horst Homann

Horst Homann (born April 29, 1934 in Breslau ; † October 2, 2002 in Haan ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From 1967 to 1970 he was a member of the state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate .

Life

Homann grew up in Silesia and came to West Germany in 1945 as a displaced person. He attended elementary school and then completed an apprenticeship in the craft, which he completed with the journeyman's examination. From 1954 to 1960 he trained as a deacon, then took on leading tasks in an old people's and care facility of the Diakonie and in 1962 became a parish deacon in Ehrang . In addition, he worked part-time as a religion teacher at the European Foundation in Luxembourg .

Homann was a member of the district board of the Junge Union Trier and a member of the district board of the CDU Trier. As a member of the State Youth Welfare Committee, the Evangelical Working Group and the District Youth Council , he was active in Protestant youth work.

In the state elections in 1967 he was elected as a member of the state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate, where he was a member of the Petitions Committee and the Social Policy Committee. At the end of May 1970 he resigned from the state parliament. Robert Zingen moved up for him in parliament.
