Horst Mandl
Horst Mandl (born January 8, 1936 in Graz ; † July 14, 2018 ibid.) Was an Austrian decathlete , high jumper , long jumper , triple jumper and hurdler .
Career
In the decathlon he came in the European Athletics Championships in 1966 on the 17th place and broke off the competition after the third discipline at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City. At the European Championship in Athens in 1969 he was sixth.
In 1970 he came to 18th place in the high jump at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Vienna .
Nine times he was Austrian champion in the triple jump (1964–1972), six times in the decathlon (1963–1965, 1969–1971), four times in the long jump (1962, 1964–1966), three times over 110 m hurdles (1967–1969) and twice in High jump (1970, 1973).
