Horst Simanowski

Horst Simanowski (born January 11, 1919 in Berlin ; † July 9, 1994 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Horst Simanowski attended a grammar school and graduated from there with the upper secondary qualification . He did an apprenticeship as a precision mechanic . After the Second World War , he joined the SPD in 1945. He became an engineer and worked as the technical director of a company, where he was also chairman of the works council . In the Berlin election in 1948 Simanowski was elected to the city ​​council of Greater Berlin , at the same time he was employed by an administration. After the following election in 1950 he was elected to the district councilor for youth in the Kreuzberg district. Since Margarete Berger became a member of the Bundestag, Simanowski moved to the Berlin House of Representatives in October 1953 . But a good two months later he left parliament again because he was still a district councilor, and Herbert Ohning was his successor . Simanowski later became a consultant in the Senate Department for Youth. After the 1971 election he was re-elected to the district councilor for youth, but now in the Neukölln district , in 1975 he resigned.
