How It Feels to Be Lost is the title of the sixth studio album by the post-hardcore band Sleeping with Sirens , which will be released on September 6, 2019 via Sumerian Records . Musically it represents a return to the sound of the band on the first two albums With Ears to See and Eyes to Hear and Let's Cheers to This .

It houses eleven titles and has a total game length of 38 minutes and 24 seconds.

Backstory

After the album Gossip , released in 2017, represented a complete departure from the band's musical roots, singer Kellin Quinn admitted in a 2019 interview with Loudwire that he could not convincingly convey the news of the songs on stage, which made it difficult for him personally, to believe in this myself. He also said that he did not know what to do after the release of Gossip and that he had even thought of a musical break. Quinn also stated that he regretted not having taken a break from the music.

In an interview between Quinn and Nick Martin at the Slam Dunk Festival with the British magazine Rock Sound , the two musicians said they had written their first pieces. In November 2018, Martin confirmed the end of the Gossip album cycle and hinted at the release of a new album for the coming year. In December of the same year the band was in the studio with producer Matt Good of From First to Last and indicated a return to their musical roots. Good was supported in the production of Zakk Cervini .

On April 29, 2019, the musicians finished the recording work in the studio.
