Howard Ford
Howard Ford (born December 18, 1905 in Hawarden , Wales , † March 28, 1986 in St. James’s , City of Westminster , London ) was a British decathlete and pole vaulter .
At the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928 , he broke off the decathlon after eight disciplines.
At the British Empire Games in Hamilton in 1930 , he started winning silver in the pole vault for England and was fifth in the shot put and sixth in the discus throw .
In 1929 he became English champion in pole vault.
