Huang Bowen (Chinese: 黄博文; pinyin: Huáng Bówén; born July 13, 1987 in Changsha , Hunan Province ) is a Chinese football player who currently plays for Guangzhou Evergrande in the Chinese Super League . At 16 years and 317 days, he holds the record as the youngest ever goalscorer in Chinese professional football.
Club career
Huang Bowen began his football career with Beijing Guoan when he was promoted to the club's first team in 2004. As a promising youngster, he made his debut on May 26, 2004 with a 4-1 win over Shenyang Ginde , in which Huang also scored his first goal. At the end of his debut season, he had played in six league games. In the following seasons he was first a substitute and gradually established himself as a regular for the club. In the 2007 season he was runner-up with the Peking team in the league and in 2009 he won the championship.
On February 10, 2011, Huang moved to Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors in the South Korean K League 1 . He made his debut for the club on March 6, 2011 in a 1-0 loss to Chunnam Dragons . This was followed by his first goal for the club in an AFC Champions League game on March 6, 2011 in a 4-0 win over Arema Malang . In 2011 he became the South Korean champion.
On July 7, 2012, Huang moved to Guangzhou Evergrande in the Chinese Super League. He was an integral part of Guangzhou's winning line-up in the 2013 AFC Champions League , making the club the second Chinese team to win an international title. On August 13, 2017, Huang suffered a broken loin in a league game against Henan Jianye when he was thrown off balance by Ricardo Vaz Tê , who excluded him for the remainder of the season.
