Huari Chico is a scattered settlement in the La Paz department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Huari Chico is located in the province of Ingavi and is, before Tiawanacu , the largest town in the municipality of Tiahuanacu . The village is located at an altitude of 3843  m on the shores of Lake Titicaca , only a few kilometers from Tiahuanaco , the internationally known World Heritage Site - ruins from the pre-Inca culture .

Huari Chico is located on the Bolivian Altiplano between the Andean mountain ranges of the Cordillera Occidental in the west and the Cordillera Central in the east.
