Hubert Egemann

Hubert Egemann (born August 29, 1929 in Karlsgrund , Upper Silesia , † July 25, 1992 ) was a German politician ( SED ). He was head of the transport and communications department and the transport and communications department of the SED Central Committee .

Life

Egemann, son of a working class family, attended high school. In 1946 he moved to Aschersleben , where he was trained as a company assistant and then took up a job with the Deutsche Reichsbahn .

In 1948 he joined the SED. Between 1950 and 1953 he studied at the German Administration Academy in Forst Zinna . He completed his studies with a degree in political science. In 1953/54 he was an operations assistant in the Ministry of Railways and head of the freight transport department in the Reichsbahnamt Aschersleben.

From 1954 to 1987 Egemann was an employee of the Central Committee of the SED: from 1958 he acted as a sector manager, from 1960 as deputy head of department and from 1962 to 1987 as head of the department for traffic and communications and the department for transport and communications at the central committee.
