Hubert Hüring (born May 27, 1950 in Lathen ) is a former German soccer player and coach .

career

Hüring began his career in 1957 with Raspo Lathen , where he played for twelve years. In 1969 he moved to the A-Jugend of SV Meppen , in December 1969 he was appointed to the squad of the 1st team, which in the 1969/70 season achieved promotion to the North Regional Football League , the second-highest German division at the time. There he gained his first experience in contract players in 1970/71 . Hüring made his debut on August 16, 1970 in a 1-1 draw at Olympia Wilhelmshaven in the Regionalliga Nord. At the end of the round, Meppen was relegated to 18th in the table. He had played alongside other players like Eberhard Strauch and Heinz Tappel in all 34 league games and scored eleven goals. He accepted the contract offer from the north champion VfL Osnabrück and switched to the lilac-whites from the Bremer Brücke for the 1971/72 season . At VfL, the newcomer from Meppen made his debut on August 29, 1971 in a 1-1 away draw against VfB Lübeck. He could not establish himself in the regular cast under coach Erwin Türk . He had to be content with ten missions and two goals in winning the runner-up and moving into the Bundesliga promotion round in 1972 alongside teammates such as Karl August Tripp , Jürgen Wohlgemuth , Friedhelm Holtgrave , Reinhard Wasner , Gerhard Elfert and Volker Graul . After a year he went back to the 1972/73 season back to SV Meppen, which belonged again to the Regionalliga Nord. In the last two rounds of the old second-rate regional league era, 1972 to 1974, Hüring mostly played 70 league games in midfield and scored eleven goals. He completed all 36 competitive games in the last regional round in 1973/74 and scored seven goals alongside other players such as Hans-Hermann Mindermann, Lothar Gans and Heinz Stauvermann. Meppen ranked eighth, but had to take the step into the amateur area in the north due to the introduction of the 2nd Bundesliga for the 1974/75 season.

Hüring completed a total of 114 second-rate regional league appearances and scored 24 goals from 1970 to 1974. From 1974 to 1985, 291 games with 62 goals followed for the long-time captain of the Lower Saxon association selection in the Oberliga Nord . He is also the record player in AOL Nord of SV Meppen. With the NFV association selection he made it to the semi-finals of the national cup in 1975, in 1976 he was part of the team when he won the group games and when he moved into the two final games against Westphalia in 1978 (0: 1; 0: 1) the captain was always active . He played in the NFV selection until the 1983/84 season.

From 1985 his coaching career began at VfL Herzlake , with whom he became Lower Saxony champion in 1987 and 1988. From 1995 to 1997 he coached VfB Oldenburg in the 2nd Bundesliga. In the 2013/14 season, Hüring took over the coaching position for the district league club Blau-Weiß Dörpen for one season .
