Hubert Heil

Hubert Heil (born August 11, 1931 in Künzell ; † January 16, 2019 ) was a Hessian politician ( CDU ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

Hubert Heil completed an apprenticeship as a machinist and carpenter and worked in the profession he had learned. From 1982 he was a member of the main staff council at the headquarters of the main administration of the Deutsche Bundesbahn . From 1993 he was Federal Chairman of the Union of Railway Workers in Germany and from 1994 until his retirement he was a member of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Bahn AG.

Hubert Heil was a member of the State Welfare Association of Hesse for the CDU from 1977 . On July 4, 1994 he replaced Hartmut Nassauer in the state parliament, to which he was a member until the end of the election period on April 4, 1995.

In 2006 he received the Georg Stieler Medal for his work in the Fulda district council . Heil was a member of the district council from 1972 to 2006. In his 37 years of local political activity, he was, among other things, First Alderman of the Künzell Community for 33 years . Several times during these years he represented ill or deceased mayors for a long time.

On January 16, 2007 he was awarded the Hessian Order of Merit.
