Hubert Remmert

Hubert Remmert (* 1966 in Beckum ) is a German sports scientist and author of specialist basketball books .

Life

As an athlete, Remmert was part of the German C-squad in high jump from 1982 to 1984 , and from 1988 to 1991 he played for FC Schalke 04 and from 1996 to 1998 for VfL Bochum in the 2nd basketball league .

Between 1990 and 1996 he studied sport at the Ruhr University Bochum and obtained a diploma. Afterwards he worked there as a research assistant at the chair for training science and worked under Dieter Steinhöfer from 1997 to 2003 , and from 2003 to 2009 he was a member of the staff of Alexander Ferrauti . In 2002 Remmert's doctoral thesis in sports science (subject: "Game observation in basketball. Analysis of tactical group attack behavior in positional attacks against man-man defense based on process-oriented modeling") was accepted at the Ruhr University in Bochum. Remmert works in the “Sports and Movement Fields” department of the Faculty of Sports Science at the Ruhr University Bochum as a teacher for special tasks and, among other things, is active in teaching the sports games basketball and handball.

In 2006 Remmert published the textbook “Basketball: Learn, Play and Train”, he is one of the authors of the official textbook of the German Basketball Federation , “Handbook Basketball: Technology, Tactics, Training”. He was also significantly involved in the creation of a guide to the 3-on-3 basketball game that was published in 2014 (“Basketball 3x3: a guide to game types , organization and involvement in school, club and leisure”). In 2011, together with Steinhöfer, he published the book “Basketball in school: mediating playfully and appropriately” and was one of the authors of the work “Basketball Talents: Guidelines and Recommendations on the Way to the Top”, published in 2015 by the Federal Institute for Sports Science with the participation of the German Basketball Association ".
