Hugo Beikircher

Hugo Beikircher (born June 25, 1942 in Bozen ) is an Italian classical philologist and lexicographer .

After studying classical philology, he was in 1967 at the University of Vienna with a commentary on the sixth satire of Persius doctorate . Since 1967 he worked on the Thesaurus Linguae Latinae at the Bavarian Academy of Sciences in Munich and was general editor of the project from 2001 until his retirement at the end of 2008 .
