Silvia Clavadetscher

Silvia Clavadetscher-Thürlemann (born June 20, 1948 in Rüti ZH ; † May 28, 2013 in Munich ) was a Swiss classical philologist and lexicographer .

After attending primary school in Rapperswil SG , the lower grammar school in Menzingen ZG and the upper grammar school in Friborg , Thürlemann obtained the Matura type A at the Lycée cantonal pour jeunes filles in 1968. She then studied for two semesters at the ETH Zurich and then moved to the University of Zurich where she studied History, Classical Philology and Middle Latin Philology. After the licentiate examination in February 1975, Thürlemann worked as a scholarship holder of the Swiss National Science Foundation at the Thesaurus Linguae Latinae in Munich. In autumn 1975 she married Reto Clavadetscher.

After her return from Munich (1978), Silvia Clavadetscher attended lectures at the University of Basel to deepen her studies. She had a daughter in 1980 and a son in 1984. She also wrote in Peter Frei her dissertation , in January 1985, she was at the University of Zurich with the work ΠΟΛΕΜΟΣ ΔΙΚΑΙΟΣ and BELLUM iustum: Try a history of ideas doctorate .

Since 2004 she has been working as an editor for the Thesaurus Linguae Latinae in Munich as a volunteer ( solo onere contenta ). On January 1, 2009 she was appointed general editor of the Thesaurus Linguae Latinae. Under her leadership, the last deliveries of the letter P were published and the processing of the letters N and R began.
