Hugo Light (* 29. September 1934 in Freiburg , † 2. June 2000 in Pforzheim ) was a German politician of the CDU .

Life and work

Leicht attended the Zinzendorf-Gymnasium in Königsfeld in the Black Forest and from 1947 the Max-Planck-Gymnasium Lahr / Black Forest , where he passed the Abitur. He then studied geography , history and English at the Universities of Heidelberg and Freiburg . He passed his state exams in 1961 and 1963. Then he worked as a teacher in Neuenbürg and later in Pforzheim.

Leicht was married and had five children.

Party and offices

Leicht began his political activity in 1971 when he moved into the municipal council of the city of Pforzheim for the CDU . Just one year later, Leicht was elected as a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg , to which he belonged without interruption until 1996. Between 1977 and 1993 he was chairman of the new district association Enzkreis / Pforzheim.

After the election as Prime Minister of Baden-Württemberg in January 1991, Erwin Teufel brought Leicht into his cabinet and made him political state secretary in the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport . After the state election in 1992, Leicht was no longer available for this task. His successor was Rudolf Köberle . However, Leicht was still a member of the state parliament until the end of the 1996 legislative period.
