Hugo von der Crone

Hugo von der Crone (born January 4, 1929 in Stadel near Niederglatt ; † July 29, 2008 in Zurich; legal resident in Zurich, Russikon and Basel ) was a Swiss lawyer .

Crone studied at the University of Zurich Law and received his doctorate in 1954 at Max Guldener . After almost twenty years with the Fides Treuhand Association, he joined the Schweizerische Kreditanstalt as head of the legal department in 1976 , where he was promoted to general director three years later. In addition, he was Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and member of the management of CS Holding AG for many years. After retiring from operational activities in 1994, he remained with the company until 1999 as a member of the Board of Directors of Schweizerische Volksbank and Credit Suisse. In addition to numerous board memberships (including Elektrizitätsgesellschaft Laufenburg, Mövenpick , Bank Leu , Telekurs and ZFV ), Hugo von der Crone took on social mandates, for example in the driving service for the mobility impaired (Tixi) or in the Pestalozzi Foundation. In addition, von der Crone was a member of the Zunft zur Schmiden , the guild of bomb throwers and Rotary International Switzerland, of which he was president in 1982/83. Crone was with Ursula Elisabeth, geb. Gloor, married. One of her three children is the legal scholar Hans Caspar von der Crone .
