Hungarian Open 2005

The Hungarian Open 2005 took place from September 27th to October 2nd, 2005 in Budapest , Hungary . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2005/06 and was endowed with US $ 50,000. It belonged to the category 5 star .

Defending champion was Jonathon Power , who did not run again. In the final, Amr Shabana , who was seeded in second place, prevailed against Grégory Gaultier , who was seeded in fifth, with 6:11, 11: 2, 11: 7, 8:11 and 11: 5.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 16 players, four of which were reserved for qualifiers. The eight best players were seeded. By wildcard was András Török a spot in the main draw.
