Hungarian Open 2006

The Hungarian Open 2006 took place from September 26th to October 1st, 2006 in Budapest , Hungary . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2006/07 and was endowed with 50,000 US dollars. It belonged to the category 5 star .

Last year's winner Amr Shabana did not run again. In the final, Grégory Gaultier , who was seeded in second position, prevailed against Lee Beachill , who was seeded in third, with 6:11, 11: 4, 11: 7, 6:11 and 11: 6.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 16 players, four of which were reserved for qualifiers. The eight best players were seeded. By wildcard was András Török a spot in the main draw.
