Hurricane is a Serbian girl group. Its members are Sanja Vučić , Ksenija Knežević and Ivana Nikolić.

history

Zoran Milinković founded the girl group Hurricane in 2017 after Sanja, Ksenija and Ivana were selected at an audition in Belgrade . They got the idea for the group name from hurricanes Hurricane Maria and Hurricane Irma , which hit the Caribbean islands in 2017 . Her first single Irma, Maria also dealt with this topic.

Four more English-language songs followed, including Magic Night and Personal . In September 2019 they released their first song in Serbian, Favorito , which was trending on YouTube in Serbia for several weeks and with 39 million views (as of January 2020) is one of the most heard songs of 2019.

Two more singles followed in Serbian - Avantura and Brzi prsti . Sanja Vučić contributed to both songs as a lyricist.

In March 2020 they won the Beovizija 2020 competition and were supposed to represent Serbia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam . The song Hasta La Vista was composed by Nemanja Antonić, the lyrics are by Sanja Vučić. However, the competition had to be canceled on March 18, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic .

On June 24, 2020 the group released the song Tuturutu , which they recorded together with MC Stojan. The song went viral within a few hours and reached first place in the YouTube trendings in all Balkan countries as well as Austria and Germany.
