The 10th Beovizija took place on March 1st, 2020 and was the Serbian preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam ( Netherlands ). The band Hurricane won with their song Hasta la vista .
format
concept
On August 30, 2019, the public service broadcaster Radio-Televizija Srbije (RTS) confirmed the continuation of the Beovizija concept. The exact form of the format is to be announced in the coming months. As in previous years, 50% of the winner is to be determined by the audience and 50% by an expert jury.
Choice of contribution
From August 30 to December 9, 2019, composers had the opportunity to submit a contribution to RTS. According to the classical rules of the festival, the contributions had to be written in Serbian or in one of the official languages of Serbia. Foreign composers could also submit contributions, provided that the performers hold Serbian citizenship. On December 23, 2019, RTS announced that a total of 90 contributions had been received. That is 14 songs more than in the previous year and thus represents the largest number of submitted contributions since the return of the festival. After that, the music editorial team at RTS selected the contributions that would take part in the preliminary round.

The first semi-final (Polu final 1) took place on February 28, 2020 at 9 p.m. ( CET ) in RTS Studio 8 in Belgrade . Six performers qualified for the final.
