Husum winter marathon

The Husum Winter Marathon (official name Nord-Ostsee Sparkasse Winter Marathon ) was a marathon in Husum that was organized by LAV Husum from 1972 to 2017 in February or March .

The course consisted of a turning point route through the North Frisian coastal landscape north of Husum and led via Horstedt , Arlewatt , Ahrenshöft , Bohmstedt and Drelsdorf to Breklum . It was described by the organizer as follows: "Endless lonely straights, quiet villages, often wet and cold weather, always wind."

In 2018 the event had to be canceled due to the low number of registrations. In the following years, LAV Husum decided not to put out another tender.
