Svend Erik Kristensen

Svend Erik Kristensen (born June 24, 1956 ) is a former Danish marathon runner .

At the World Cross Country Championships he came in 1980 in Paris in 129th place and in 1981 in Madrid in 183rd place.

In 1981 he finished second in the Karl Marx Stadt Marathon. The following year, he set a national record in sixth place in the Tokyo International Men's Marathon with 2:12:33 h and came second in the Westland Marathon. At the marathon of the European Athletics Championships in Athens in 1982 , he did not reach the goal.

In 1983 he set the current course record at the Husum winter marathon with 2:15:17 h. He finished 29th in the London Marathon and fourth in the Amsterdam Marathon . A 17th place at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki was followed by a second place at the Enschede Marathon .

In 1984 he finished tenth in London, won marathons in Geneva and Örebro and won the Dublin Marathon . The following year he was fifth in the Stockholm Marathon and fourth in the Beijing Marathon . In 1986 he came in eleventh place at the Houston Marathon and was the overall winner of the Copenhagen Marathon Danish Champion. In 1987 he won again in Copenhagen, and in 1988 he came 25th in London.

In total, he was four times Danish marathon champion (1981, 1986, 1990, 1991).
