Hyperdrive is a British television series that appeared on BBC Two in 2006 and 2007 . Full Power was used as the working title .

The series is about the crew of the HMS Camden Lock , who tried in the years 2151 and 2152 to represent British interests in space.

Characters

Nick Frost embodies Space Commander Michael "Mike" "Lucky Jack" "Hendo" Henderson . The original website states that Henderson trained at Dagenham Secondary Modern and New Portsmouth Cadet Camp. He is also described as an idealistic researcher. A running gag is the mention of his favorite TV series Captain Helix .

Kevin Eldon portrays First Officer Eduardo Pauline York , a brilliant scientist. He has borderline syndrome and has increasingly mutiny fantasies. Furthermore, he has no confidence in the Technical Officer Jeffers and has the ability to hold his breath for over 7 hours. York shows great emotions when it comes to the cyborg Sandstorm and quickly becomes jealous when Vine kisses Sandstorm in his pub-conscious phase . Like his friend Commander Henderson, he is also a fan of the Captain Helix series .

Miranda Hart plays the role of Diplomatic Officer Chloe Alice Teal . Teal seems to have feelings for the space commander, but he doesn't reciprocate. Her skills as a diplomat can be questioned as she occasionally endangers the crew. In addition, she fell through the exam to the right officer, especially since she is only on the HMS Camden Lock, since her father is an ambassador. In season 2, her religious views are shown more as an agnostic , and she is the yoga teacher on the ship.

Stephan Evans appears as navigator Dave Vine . A planet was named after him ( Vineworld ). He, too, is clearly unable to cope with the behavior of the technical officer Jeffers. He collects antiques from the 1990s. His biggest and only dream is to own a pub in 1995 ( pub-conscious phase ). Like York, he finds Sandstorm attractive.

Dan Antopolski is Karl Jeffers' technical officer . Like York for him, Jeffers feels antipathy for York. He makes a note of all his mistakes and is a fan of alien music. He mainly hears Lallakiss war anthem, Kill the Humans .

Petra Massey portrays the Cyborg Sandstorm . She ensures that Camden Lock remains functional. Chocolate creates an increased interest in hypersexuality . She has feelings for York and is visibly more aware of them than York is of his feelings for her.

Maggie Service appears as a computer voice. In season 2, Ewan Bailey takes on more computer voices.

Waen Shepherd is Gareth Stannis , the main character in the television series Captain Helix , often seen by Commander Henderson. Captain Helix, like Doctor Who, seems to be hiding something.
