Left tributaries Aubance

The Hyrôme is a river in France that runs in the Maine-et-Loire department in the Pays de la Loire region . It rises at Saint-Georges-des-Gardes , generally drains in a north-easterly direction and flows into the Layon as a left tributary after 27 kilometers below Saint-Lambert-du-Lattay . Another branch of the estuary already reaches about 200 meters above the river.

The confluence of the Hyrôme takes place at the historically interesting bridge Pont-Barré to Beaulieu-sur-Layon , where a battle took place during the Vendée uprising in the 18th century.
