The ZAO IRITO ( ИРИТО ) is an automotive and commercial vehicle manufacturer with headquarters in the Russian capital Moscow . The company, founded in 2005, specializes in importing vehicles from the People's Republic of China for the domestic market. Some of the vehicles, however, are completely dismantled as so-called CKD based -Kit and finally at a plant in Ramenskoye mounted . The units installed by IRITO can be recognized in the vehicle identification number by means of the manufacturer code X32. An investment of USD 40 million was raised to build the plant . The annual capacity is 25,000 units.
The first model built by IRITO was the BYD Flyer , followed by the Great Wall Deer . The latter has now been replaced by the Great Wall Wingle . The Great Wall Hover G5 finally followed in the following year. At the same time, the company began importing Build Your Dreams automobiles and commercial vehicles from the China FAW Group . Other import brands for Russia are Hafei , Dongfeng Motor Corporation and Brilliance . However, the manufacturer is currently also trying to manifest itself in a joint venture with Peugeot in the commercial vehicle sector. The Peugeot Boxer has been manufactured as a test object since late 2010 . Around 600 units of the model are assembled here every year. But the plant is also active as an engine manufacturer with the FAW J5P 6x4, which is sold almost worldwide.
The vehicles built in Russia are technically the same as the originals. However, due to the fact that the vehicles produced in China have a bad reputation and also offer very spartan equipment by Russian standards, the company has decided to design the entire interior and to manufacture it for its own assembly.
The company carries out its own crash tests under its IRITO Security Program . For example, the Brilliance M2 was tested here in accordance with the European standards of EuroNCAP .
