The BYD Flyer was a small car from the Chinese manufacturer BYD Auto .

The simple vehicle has been produced as a flyer by the state-run automobile manufacturer Xi'an Tsinchuan Auto Co., Ltd since 1998 . The engines came from the Japanese manufacturer Suzuki . After BYD took over this company in 2003, the model continued to be produced almost unchanged as BYD Flyer . However, the model went largely unnoticed with low sales.

The flyer was also sold in Russia and Ukraine . The BYD F0 has been available as a successor since 2008 , although the predecessor was initially still built in Xi'an . After only 4 vehicles could be sold in 2010, production was stopped.
