The BYD Su Rui ( Chinese 速 锐 ) is a mid-range sedan that has been offered since 2012 by the Chinese automobile manufacturer BYD Auto , a subsidiary of the BYD group. Internationally it is marketed as the F5 Suri .
history
The vehicle was presented as the F3 Su Rui at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2012 . The international media sometimes referred to it as F3 Plus . It went on sale in China in August 2012, with no F3 in the model name as Su Rui . In 2015 the sedan was revised. Under the name BYD e5, the same body came on the market as an electric car in 2016
technology
According to the manufacturer, the vehicle was the first full-size (series) car that can be remotely controlled in 2012 . From outside, a remote control with a range of up to 20 m can initiate forward and backward movement at a maximum speed of 2 km / h, it can be steered to both sides and comfort functions for the interior can be controlled
drive
The two 1.5-liter gasoline engines with four cylinders arranged in a row , available at the market launch, have a maximum output of 80 kW (109 hp) or 113 kW (154 hp); the maximum speeds are 170 km / h and 190 km / h, respectively. The more powerful engine, equipped with gasoline direct injection and turbocharger , was discontinued in 2015; it could be combined with a six-speed manual transmission and a six-speed dual clutch transmission . The naturally aspirated engine is only available with a five-speed manual transmission. Regardless of the engine power, the vehicle can only be bought with front-wheel drive.
