The BYD M6 is a van from the Chinese manufacturer BYD Auto .

The vehicle, which was introduced in 2010 as the manufacturer's first van, was shown as a production model at Auto China that same year , and in 2009 it was also shown at Auto Shanghai . In 2013 the vehicle was revised. The BYD M6 was only offered in Asia.

Furnishing

There are three equipment lines to choose from: Comfort , Luxury and Premium .

All models are equipped as standard with a CD player, air conditioning, a keyless start system comparable to Keyless Go and a speed-dependent automatic door lock . In addition to the front airbags available on all models, the premium vehicles also contain side curtain airbags .

A special feature in this price category is the 360-degree video security system included in the premium and luxury versions, which shows the vehicle surroundings on an 8- inch color monitor.

Technical specifications

Two motor variants are available for the BYD M6 :

  • a two-liter gasoline engine (BYD in-house development) with 103 kW,
  • a 2.4-liter gasoline engine ( Mitsubishi ) with 118 kW.

A manual 5-speed transmission (BYD) and an automatic transmission with a manual shift gate developed by Mitsubishi are offered. The standard equipment includes an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake force distribution, which was taken over from Bosch .
