The BYD F0 (still BYD F1 until the beginning of 2008) is a small car from the Chinese manufacturer BYD Auto .
description
The vehicle was introduced in 2008 as the successor to the extremely simple BYD Flyer and around 60,000 copies were sold in the first half of 2010. Outwardly it resembled the Toyota Aygo ; As part of the facelift , the F0 was revised in 2012 and 2015.
The 50 kW front engine with a displacement of one liter is an in-house development of the manufacturer and enables a top speed of 151 km / h. The BYD F0 is equipped with MacPherson front suspension struts and a BYD torsion beam axle . The standard equipment includes an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake force distribution from the American supplier Delphi Automotive .
The five-seater vehicle has air conditioning as standard and a keyless start system comparable to the Keyless Go . A noticeable feature is an illuminated company logo attached to the rear (not approved in the EU). The F0 is offered in Asia, South America and Africa. In China, the vehicle costs between 36,900 and 46,900 yuan (as of 2013), depending on the equipment .
In 2019, the small car was replaced by the electrically powered BYD e1 .
