Ibrahim Namo Ibrahim (born October 10, 1937 in Telkaif ) is an Iraqi clergyman and bishop emeritus of Saint Thomas the Apostle of Detroit .

Life

Ibrahim Namo Ibrahim was ordained a priest on December 30, 1962 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Apostolic Exarch of the United States of America and Titular Bishop of Anbar dei Caldei on February 11, 1982 . He was ordained bishop by the Patriarch of Babylon , Paul II Cheikho , on March 7th of the same year; Co- consecrators were Emmanuel Delly , Auxiliary Bishop in Babylon, Georges Garmou , Archbishop of Mosul , Stéphane Babaca , Archbishop of Erbil , Stéphane Katchou , Archbishop of Bassora , Abdul-Ahad Sana , Bishop of Alquoch and Abdul-Ahad Rabban OAOC , Bishop of Aqra .

With the elevation of the Apostolic Exarchate to the eparchy on August 3, 1985, he was appointed first bishop of Saint Thomas the Apostle of Detroit .

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on May 3, 2014.
