Idulio Islas Gómez (born January 16, 1987 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican Taekwondoin . It starts in the weight class up to 68 kilograms.

Islas was able to reach the quarter-finals in the class up to 59 kilograms in his first international title fight, the Junior World Championship in 2002 in Heraklion . Two years later he was able to win the junior world title in Suncheon . In the adult category, Islas won his first silver medal at the Pan American Championship in Santo Domingo . He qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing . In the opening fight he was eliminated there against Isah Mohammad . Islas celebrated his greatest sporting success so far at the 2009 World Cup in Copenhagen . He moved into the final in the class up to 68 kilograms and won the silver medal after a defeat against Mohammad Bagheri Motamed . He won another medal with bronze at the 2011 Universiade in Shenzhen . In the same year he won a quota place for the 2012 Olympic Games in London at the Pan-American Olympic qualification tournament in Santiago de Querétaro .

At the beginning of 2012, lack of discipline became known that Islas and Damián Villa were accused of during their tour of the European World Cup tournaments. The Mexican federation then questioned her Olympic nomination. Ultimately, Islas missed his second Olympic Games after losing to Erick Osornio in the team's internal qualification .
