Igor Cvetek (born November 12, 1986 in Ljubljana , SR Slovenia ) is a Slovenian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HDD Olimpija Ljubljana from the Austrian ice hockey league since 2002 .

Career

Igor Cvetek started his career as a hockey player in the youth of HDD Olimpija Ljubljana . However , the defender made his professional debut in the Slovenian Ice Hockey League in the 2003/04 season for their league rivals HK Tivoli , for whom he made two assists in 18 games in his rookie year . In the following season, the left shooter was on the ice, both in the Ljubljanas youth team and the Tivolis professional team. Before the 2004/05 season , Cvetek received a professional contract with HDD Olimpija, with which he was Slovenian champion for the first time in 2007 . Before the 2007/08 season , Ljubljana was included in the Austrian ice hockey league , in which the attacker and his team immediately became runner-up. For Ljubljana he also plays in the playoffs of the Slovenian ice hockey league in Austria after the end of the season.

International

For Slovenia , Cvetek took part in the junior division in the U18 Junior B World Championships 2004 and the U20 Junior B World Championships in 2004 , 2005 and 2006 .
