Igoris Ščekočichinas (born June 22, 1980 in Ignalina ) is a former Lithuanian biathlete .

Igoris Ščekočichinas is a student and lives in Vilnius . In 1995 he started biathlon. His first international appearances were in 1999 at the Junior World Championships in Pokljuka . The best results were 37th in the sprint and 29th in the pursuit. A year later he won the bronze medal in the pursuit at the European Junior Championships in Kościelisko , after he was still tenth in the sprint. He also achieved good results at the Junior World Championships 2000 in Hochfilzen with 12th place in the sprint and 10th in the pursuit.

Ščekočichinas had his first assignments in the men's field in 1999 in Hochfilzen. His first race was an individual in which he was 96th. The 2000 Biathlon World Championships at Holmenkollen in Oslo was the Lithuanian’s first major event. He finished 87th in the individual and 90th in the sprint. A year later he was 82nd in the individual and 70th in the sprint in Pokljuka . At the 2001 European Biathlon Championships in Haute-Maurienne , 42nd place was the best result in the sprint. He contested his last race at the end of the season on Holmenkollen and was 67th in the sprint. It was also the best World Cup result. After the season he ended his career.
