Ilenia Vitale (born April 10, 1995 in Palmanova ) is an Italian sprinter who is particularly successful with the 4 x 400 meter relay .

Career

Ilenia Vitale gained her first international experience at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Turkey. She was eliminated over 400 meters in the preliminary round and was sixth with the 4-by-400-meter relay. A few weeks later she took part in the World Youth Championships in Lille . There she reached the semifinals over 400 meters and was eliminated with the 4 x 400 meter relay in the preliminary run. In 2013 she was eliminated from the preliminary round in the individual competition of the Junior European Championships in Rieti and took fifth place in the relay. In 2014 she took part in the Junior World Championships in Eugene , where she was eliminated with the relay in the preliminary round and reached the semi-finals over 400 meters. In 2015 she took part in the European Indoor Championships in Prague , where she was eliminated in her specialty in the preliminary stages. At the U23 European Championships in Tallinn , she was eliminated over 400 meters in the preliminary round and finished sixth in the relay. Two years later she took part again in the U23 European Championships , where she was eliminated from the individual competition and finished fifth with the Italian relay.

She is studying economics at the University of Udine .
